Classicist structure built by the Liechtenstein family between 1816 and 1827 for the purpose of relaxation and rest for the aristocratic family underwent between the years 2017 and 2018 an extensive reconstruction, under strict supervision of the new owner, which, with its interior and exterior sought to bring its original form as close as possible. The reconstruction did not involve only the historic building, but also the entire hotel complex and surrounding greenery.

On Saturday, June the 16th 2018, the challenging construction work was ended with a spectacular event ESSENS Grand Opening Chateau de Frontiere , jwhich hosted hundreds of significant guests. Since then, the hotel complex is being used for relaxation and rest not only by members of aristocratic family, as in the past, but also by general public.

Guests can stay in a four-star hotel in newly refurbished rooms. Gourmets will be delighted in a luxury Restaurant ESSENS with premium gastronomic experiences in the form of fine dining. The wine tasting of selected Moravian wines and the truth at the bottom of glasses can be experienced in the chateau wine bar..

A modern and very stylish à la carte restaurant Chateau Petit is located on the premises of Chateau de Frontiere complex and is situated very close to the classicist building of the Border Chateau. The restaurant is available not only to hotel guests, it has an outdoor garden and two bowling alleys. It also provides facilities and refreshments for visitors who came to enjoy the outdoor pool.

Cyclists, passing through an important cycle route connecting the various sites of the Lednice-Valtice area, can refresh themselves in the Los Velos bistro located right next to the luxury restaurant. This bistro is offering a menu and a wide selection of drinks..

The message of history and its legacy for the next generations is engraved on two commemorative plaques that were revealed at the ceremonial opening on the occasion of planting a tree of significance and the restoration of the border creek.
